Sandbox world building meets strategy wargaming in the latest instalment of the Retaliation game series.Enter Enemy Mine 2 (EM2), where you will manage your whole nation, bringing her to glory and to supremacy over the whole continent. To achieve this, you will need to develop the territory around your cities, create structures and roads, trade goods, train your armies and lead them to the conquest of your neighbours or in defense from their incursions.Based on an original tabletop boardgame, EM2 challenges its players in large scale war campaigns over procedurally generated worlds. You can play aggressively, with continuous blitzkrieg attacks towards all your neighbours, or instead concentrate on developing an efficient and very productive nation, able to resist all invasions and to eventually sweep all her rivals, when you feel it is time to act.Reach economical hegemony by diversifying and maximising your production or spend everything you have on more and more troops, as you see fit. But keep in mind that your citizens will rebel if you disregard their requests.Six are the type of units available, each with their special abilities, strengths and weaknesses. Use them tactically to their maximum combined arms potential. When you face large scale encounters with enemy armies, be sure to have them deployed correctly, possibly attacking the enemy from different directions and with enough firepower. Or lead the enemy in carefully prepared traps, through the use of hidden forces and minefields. But all your strategic acumen and tactical skills will be for nothing if you don't have the means and the structure to match your desire and impetus for world domination.

The world in which you'll play the campaign is in continuous evolution as each nation grows, peaks or collapses, each in a different way.

How you'll manage your nation will hence be heavily influenced by your rivals and how they behave and how they perform. For example, the prices of the in-game trade economy reflect the total world supply and demand.

In addition to the campaign mode, you can also fight custom battles on parametric maps, like in the first Enemy Mine, choosing the number of opponents (including local human players) and a wide variety of options like mapsize, fog of war, tactical match...
